Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP is a leader in the marketplace for sophisticated, international legal services. The Challenge
The firm required a new desktop design which could meet the many needs of partners, associates, and support personnel worldwide. The design needed to incorporate upgrades to all major software applications, include an upgraded email client, support a new suite of IT management tools, account for a highly mobile workforce functioning out of multiple offices, support numerous desktop and laptop hardware models, and include a fully automated build procedure which would allow new or replacement machines to be deployed as quickly as possible. Additionally, WGM sought to work with a firm that could not only design the desktop but also assist with support, deployment, end user training, and backend infrastructure upgrades throughout the project.

Eden Technologies designed a state-of-the-art Windows XP SP2 Desktop which has proven to be easy to manage, highly secure, and most importantly — extremely reliable. With over 200 applications packaged and deployed in .MSI format, the platform provides all of the functionality required by attorneys and support personnel alike. The desktop build process is fully automated and accounts for the specific requirements of each of the firm’s practice areas. Working either remotely or from the office, the new desktop offers attorneys the power, speed, and reliability required to collaborate seamlessly across all offices thereby supporting Weil's “one firm” model and providing another competitive edge in the global marketplace. Throughout the deployment, our engineers and designers provided 24x7 onsite support for deployment.
